    Description

    Set of 6 Shot Gun snap caps 3 - 20 Gauge and 3 - 12 Gauge.
    12 Gauge and 20 Gauge Shotgun training snap caps - this auction is for a total of 6 shotgun snap caps, 3 of 20 gauge and 3 - 12 gauge snap caps.  Both the 12 Ga and the 20 Ga are 2 3/4 inch.
    The 20 Gauge snap caps will be 1 High base Federal or Estate case, and the other 2 will be a low base Winchester and a Remington hull.  You will get 1 high base and 2 low base 20 Gauge snap caps.  The low base 20 gauge cases may vary slightly from the photos.  The 3- 12 Gauges shells will be a Federal Gold Medal, a Remington STS, and a Winchester Grey AA, to show your students the brand differences and how to identify each.  You will receive 1 of each brand in 12 Gauge.
    These snap cap shotgun cartridges, contain no powder, or primers, but they will chamber.   They are weighed with lead, but cannot fire, nor can they ever be made to fire.
    These can be used as working snap caps, but unlike plastic or one piece metal snap caps, these dummy shot gun cartridges won't flake off like other shotgun snap caps.  These are intended to be used as a educational training aid to show cartridge identification as the gauge chambering is indicated on the case head stamp.  They can also be used for loading and unloading training.  I use these shot gun snap caps myself in firearms safety classes, to show my students the difference in size and how to identify between the two Gauges.
    These are used commercial hulls that have been cleaned, sized, filled, and had the primer pocket plugged, and crimped. You can visually tell they are inert, as the top of the hull, and the primer pocket are plugged with a orange poly.
    Please do not allow these to eject onto a hard surface like concrete, as it could damage the case.  Use in a carpeted or cushioned floor or grassy area to cushion the fall.
