    Top quality clamp, hardened metal,
    7/8" inside diameter
    Fits the old standard seat posts without a built-in micro clamp.
    Many bikes now a day's come with a built in seat post clamp but there are still many under the 0.00 range that do not, the older good bikes have these older style clamps on them too. Over time these clamps
    have a tenancy to strip out the grooves that make the clamp secure. This causes them to slip and to move up and down even though you tighten them. Best thing to do is to replace the clamp which is easy to do and cheaper than buying a new seat. This clamp is a
    great replacement for the older bikes or for fitting new seats to older style bikes too. Some low end bikes from WalMart & the Big Box Chain Stores will have this style clamp, the guts they use are not good quality, the metal is soft and so they often strip out quickly, use these clamps to replace them and fix that problem. Be sure to tighten them very well the first time!!
