Vintage Deco Sellstrom Bakelite Welding Goggles Steampunk Motorcycle Aviator

This listing is for a pair of Vintage Deco Bakelite Welding, Motorcycle or Aviator Goggles by Sellstrom. There's no name on them, but the Patent # 2288664 was held by Sellstrom.
The sides are covered with perforated bakelite panels, rivited on, to allow ventilation and the lenses are removable for cleaning or replacement.
In good vintage condition, with scuffs, scratches or marks. The elastic strap is missing and the rubber nose-piece has hardened with age. With the dark lenses (not included) removed there's some play available for the clear cover plates, so you might want to add an O-ring on each side. Mannequin head and strap pictured are not included.
These are a beautiful pair of vintage goggles, among the nicest on the market and a great gift - don't let them get away!
