Description
1800s reproduction bodice with stand collar and lace panel. I got this piece at a local theater's costume sale. The label inside says that it was in a productive of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. I believe it was made for the theater as the bodice closes in the back with snaps. The top of the blouse is silk (or a blend of it); the lace is cotton and the lining is cotton muslim. The bodice has 5 snaps in the back and two hook & eye at the collar. It is in wearable condition with some flaws. The lace on the stand collar is fraying. It definitely has a distressed look, as well as some darning on the back collar. There is a 1.5" tear on the front bodice; most of the tear is covered up by the lace. The bodice also has underarm stain; I haven't tried cleaning it. I am selling this piece AS IS.Please look at all the pictures I've provided, and please reach out with any questions you may have before bidding.
